Oma Lee Woolsey
Oma Lee Woolsey, 83, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at home. She was born Jan. 30, 1921, in Pulaski County, the daughter of Frank and Maude (WHITE) Schultz. She married Dennis L. "Pat" Woolsey on Dec. 23, 1945, and he died April 24, 1998. She joined Center Methodist Church in 1934 and was the oldest member and had the longest member of the church. Mrs. Woolsey retired from St. Mary's Hospital in Cairo. She had also worked at Florsheim Shoe company in Anna. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Kenneth Sauerbrunn of Jackson, MO. ; a son, Tom Woolsey of Villa Ridge; four grandchildren and their spouses, Tina and Richard Amelunke, Darrin and Gloria Sauerbrunn, Leslie and Richard Hendrix, and Michael Joseph Pentecost; five great-grandchildren, terry Amelunke, Kyle Amelunke, Brandon Amelunke, Tyler Woolsey, and Jacob Sauerbrunn; sister and brother-in-law, Grace and George Britt of Olmsted; sister-in-law, Martha Schultz of Alton; brother-in-law, Lewis Price of Olmsted; nieces; nephews; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Roy Schultz; three sisters, Elsie Price, Mary Basse, and Rosetta Dexter. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2004, in Crain Funeral Home in Ullin, with the Rev. Jesse McPherson officiating. Interment will be in the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Center Methodist Church.
