1. "TUCKERS  IN JOHNSON / PULASKI"

Please check out my entry on the Johnson Co. link.  It is lengthy, so I won't repeat it, but the surnames that I am interested in are:

TUCKER
STEPHENSON/TUCKER
THOMPSON/TUCKER
HALL/TUCKER
SAINT/TUCKER
WILSON/TUCKER
WALKER/TUCKER
KITCHELL or MITCHELL/TUCKER

My Tuckers settled in the section of Johnson Co. that later became Pulaski County.  They settled there in the 1830's at Grand Chain which was once known as Tuckertown.  My ancestor's home was used as a polling place during elections and some historical accounts list a Mr. Tucker's store or "Tucker's Store" in the same area.  I am very interested in any information on my family and also about this region of IL where they lived.
