William G. Marshall
William G. Marshall (known as Billy G.) was born on August 8, 1820 in Hopewell,
New Jersey. He came to Cordova in 1839. He was the chief financier of the family, according to Logan Trent's book
"The Trail of the Trents" and one of the wealthiest people in Cordova township.
William G. was born to Charity Golden Marshall and John Marshall. He married Catharine
Phillips and had two childen who died in infancy. Second he married her sister Elizabeth who was widowed from Stephen
Humphrey and who came to Cordova with her son Edgar and married William G.
