Amelia, daughter of mrs. Emma Webber, died at St. Louis on Tuesday, March
31, 1891, aged one year, 10? months and 14 days. The remains were brought
to Mascoutah for interment. The funeral took place yesterday from the
residence of City cemetery
Mr. Ferdinand Meyer, Jr., left for Lexington, Mo., last Friday, where he
has found employment
Alderman George Dietz was over at Millstadt last Friday on a visit to his
mother who is seriously ill.

sustained a fracture of his left arm, between the elbow and

Mr. George Schulz, one of the oldest residents of this county died at the
County Farm on Monday, aged ninety two years, six months and fifteen days.
The deceased spent the greater part of his life in Mascoutah. He
was taken to the County Farm last fall. His remains were laid to rest in
the County Farm cemetery
At the Democratic primary held at the HERALD office last Saturday evening,
the following delegates and alternates were appointed to attend the county
convention tomorrow: Delegates: Charles Cannady, Thomas J. Harryman,
Fred W. Mollman and John Wolz; Alternates: D. M. Fullmer, Carl Montag,
Emil Pfeifer and Dr. C. Rembe
Married, at the residence of the parents of the bride, on sunday afternoon
at 3 o'clock, Mr. William Donner, son of Alderman W. D. Donner, to Miss Mary
Dick. Rev. Hempelmann of the Ev. Prot. church performed the ceremony
in the presence of a number of relatives and friends of the happy couple.
After the ceremony was performed Ida, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
J. L. Schaller, of Belleville, was Christened by Rev. Hempelmann. Besides
Mr. and Mrs. Schaller, Mr. Phillip A. Michel and family, of Belleville were
in attendance.
