Martha Wheat, yesterday filed a petition for divorce in the city court, against her husband, Charles Wheat, on the grounds of desertion.

Peter Eisloeffel, a farmer living in Shiloh township, this county, committed suicide Tuesday morning, by shooting himself in the stomach with a 32-calibur revolver. No cause is assigned for the act.

Louis Ricordon, an aged and respected farmer of Cahokia, died Sunday morning after a lingering illness
