RUTH LOIS CHOATE

Jonesboro, IL.--Ruth Lois Choate, 94, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007 at City Care Center in Anna, IL.
She was born Nov. 16, 1912 in Goreville, IL, daughter of William H. and Edna Grace Howell.  she and James Melvin Choate were married Feb. 16, 1931 in Jonesboro.  He died Oct. 11, 1986.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Casey of Jonesboro; two sons, Robert Choate of Carbondale, IL and Donald Choate of Jonesboro; a brother, Marvin Howell of Dongola; a sister, Golda Brown of Anna; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 1, 2007) at the funeral home with the Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating.  Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
