TRESSIE N. DALLAS


DONGOLA, IL - Tressie N. Dallas, 83, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, in City Care of Anna.
Tressie was born in Carlisle, Ark., on March 13, 1925, to James and Leona (Beggs) Waters.
She married William E. Dallas on April 26, 1944, in Baltimore.
She was a member of the Dongola Library Board, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a member and also a part of the Baptist Women group of Dongola First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jim (Linda) Dallas of Jonesboro; two daughters, Pamala Dallas of Greer, S.C., and Cindy (Shaun) Aden of Dongola; six grandchildren, Sean (Sheryl) Hoskins of Newbury Park, Calif., Christopher (Carrie) Hoskins of Greenville, S.C., Jama (Dana) Eddleman of Dongola, Preston (Andrea) Dallas of Wolf Lake, Jessica (Eric) Hoffman of Dongola and Shea Aden of Dongola; nine great-grandchildren, Haley Ann, Sidney Katherine and Dallas Joseph Hoskins, Christopher Michael Jr., Hollis Charles Hoskins, Kelsie Dallas, Karlie Eddleman, Seth Eddleman, Shannon Dallas and Presley Jade Hoffman; and one sister, Opal Osman of Anna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and two brothers, Cecil "Arkie" Waters and Carrol Waters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, in Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Verlee Eaker officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
