John Clendenin, 66, of Wolf Lake died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 24, 1939, at Wolf Lake, son of Dallas B. and Nancy Hamel Clendenin. He and Ada Craft were married May 16, 1959, in Anna, Ill.

John worked at Trojan Powder Plant more than 22 years and then at Florsheim Shoe Co. more than 16 years.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lori Casper of Anna; two sons, John Clendenin Jr. of Grand Tower, Ill., Densil Clendenin of Wolf Lake; a brother, Raymond Clendenin of Ware, Ill.; a sister, Mae Knupp of Jonesboro, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.

Friends may call at Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Stamp officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
