                                      The people of the state of Illinois to all whom these presents may come, Greetings:  Know ye, that License and permission are hereby given to any person authorized by law to solemnize the rites of matrimony to join together as man and wife, Mr. Andrew Jackson Shaffer and Miss Nancy Belinda Albright according to the usual custom of the laws of Illinois, and for so doing this shall be sufficient warrant.
                                     In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the County Commissioners Court at office in Jonesborough this 31 day of August 1868.
