Cobden, IL--Geneva I. Smith, 83, of Cobden died Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at her home.
She was born November 9, 1923, daughter of  James and Irene Dixon Wright.  She and Clyde E. Smith were married November 22, 1941 at Benton, MO.  He died May 26, 2001.
Smith was a member of Immanual Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Smith of Carterville, IL, Duane Smith of Jonesboro, IL; two daughters, Susan Forby and Deanna Smith of Cobden; two sisters, Beulah Pribble of Herrin, IL, Muriel Snyder of Cahokia, IL; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, four sisters and four brothers.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home, and after 10 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday (October 26, 2007) at the church, with the Rev. Kenneth Mixen officiating.  Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
