LAWRENCE TOLER



    Lawrence Ray Toler, 70, of Carbondale and formerly of Cobden, died at 10:33 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 1992, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
    He was born on Jan. 30, 1922, in Cobden, the son of Jesse and Lucinda Brasel Toler.
    He is survived by one son Dale Lawrence Toler of Carbondale; one daughter, Shirley Irene Dale of North Carolina; two sisters, Mildred Allen of Makanda and Jessie Mahr of Laguna Nigel, Calif.; one brother, Cecil O. Toler of Franklin Grove; and five grandchildren.
    He was a veteran of World War II and attended the Gospel Mission Church in Boskydell.  He was a retired farm laborer and taxi driver.
    Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden with the Rev. Lloyd Sullivan officiating.  Interment was in the Kelley Cemetery east of Cobden with military honors by Cobden American Legion Post No. 259.
    Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden was in charge of arrangements.
