WILLIAM IRVIN TOLER



    William Irvin Toler, 82, of rural Cobden, died at 2:40 p.m. Monday, June 4, 1990, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
    He was born on July 7, 1907, in Jackson County, the son of William Irvin and Fannie Grammer Toler.
    He married Viola Yates on Sept. 1, 1928, in Jonesboro.  She preceded him in death on Nov. 3, 1982.
    He is survived by two daughters, Stella Glasco, of Cobden and Barbara Molter of Vicksburg, Miss.; one brother, Alonzo Toler of Anna; one sister, Emma Henderson, of Cobden; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
    One son, Bob Toler, one brother and two sisters also preceded him in death.
    He was a retired farmer and a retired maintenance man at the physical plant at Southern Illinois University.  He was a member of Water Valley Christian Church east of Cobden.
    Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden with the Rev. Bobby Norton officiating.  Interment was in Cobden Cemetery.
