URY-CRUSE MARRIAGE

J.L. Ury has a
copy of the marriage certificate of his grandfather and grandmother,
John and Sophia Cruse Ury, who came
to this county from North Carolina in 1819.
The original certificate was printed and written in
Holland Dutch and reads: "I
hereby certify that on the 16th day of March
1809 John Ury and Sophia Cruse were joined in wedlock in christian
order and consecrated to matrimony by Chas. Storch,
Ev. Lutheran pastor." (Jonesboro
