J. M. Alexander James M. Alexander, a former resident of Ashley, and veteran of the Civil War, died Nov. 18 in St. Louis, aged 71 years. Burial was made at Ashley, services being conducted at the M.E. church by Rev. J.W. Britten. The funeral was held under the auspices of Clay Lodge No. 153, A.F. and A.M.
