Frieman - Zacheis Marriage

A beautiful church wedding ceremony took place at the Oakdale United Presbyterian church Monday, September 2, at 4 o'clock, when Orval Frieman and Miss Ella Zacheis, both of Oakdale, were united in marriage by their pastor, Rev. F. S. Zeller.
The wedding service began with an instrumental selection, "The Rosary," played by Miss Norma Osborn. A quartet composed of Misses Julia Borcherding, Georgia McClay, Norma Osborn and Noma Decker, and Mrs. Dalton Rohde, accompanist, rendered two numbers, "I Love You Truly" and "O Promise Me." The wedding procession began as Miss Norma Osborn struck the first chords of Lohengrin's Wedding March. The flower bearers, Wallace Stieg and Betty Dean Frieman, preceded the bride as she was led to the marriage altar on the arm of her brother, Edward Zacheis.
The bride wore white form-fitted satin, with a train, and cap shaped tulie veil, which was held in place with orange blossoms, and carried white asters.
The bridesmaids were Miss Pearl Reuter of St. Louis, who wore an ankle length green organdy dress, head band to match, and carried yellow asters, and Miss helen Osborn, who wore and ankle length yellow organdy dress with a matching head band, and carried pink asters.
The groom was dressed in a double-breasted navy blue suit and attended by Norman Frieman, his brother and Edward Zacheis, brother of the bride. Orval Frieman is the fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frieman of Oakdale and has for almost a year been partner with his brother Herman in the automobile repair and service business in Oakdale. Mrs. Frieman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Zacheis, formerly of Cordes, but has for the past two years lived in Oakdale. She is a highly respected young woman and a capable efficient worker in the church and community.
At 6 o'clock a bounteous wedding supper was served the bridal party at the home of the bride's parents and about 60 guests were invited to the reception given the same evening.
The newly married couple wxpect to make their home with Mr. and Mrs. George Zacheis of Oakdale.
Mr. and Mrs. Frieman were the recipients of a large number of beautiful and useful gifts. Their many friends are wishing them a long and happy journey through life together.
