Pacific, where Ruth had been sent as a Navy nurse and Frank was a member of the U. S. Marine Corps. Frank attained the rank of Col. before retirement a few years ago. 2 sons - Frank Reed III; Gregory.

Frank is a graduate of the University of Illinois and has a BS in Political Science. 6. Gregory Thomas Stewart - b. Aug. 13, 1950. Graduated from the University of Florida in 1972.

Henry was at one time Postmaster of New Minden and in later years Cashier of Farmers -and Merchants National Bank, Nashville, Illinois. Retired a few years ago.

5. Arthur Kottmeyer - b. May 18, 1913; m. July 3, 1941, Elda Reinkensmeyer - b. March 31, 1918. 5 children - Wayne; Elaine; Roger; Shirley; David Charles (died as an infant Oct. 2, 1952.) They live in Hoyleton, Illinois. Arthur works for Washington Co. Farm Service Co.
6. Wayne Kottmeyer - b. Aug. 26, 1943; m. Aug. 28, 1965, Margaret Meinert - b. Apr. 24, 1946. Both Wayne and Margaret graduated from S.I.U.' Carbondale, and are teachers. Margaret is an elementary teacher and Wayne has a master's in Special Education. He teaches at Bowen Children's Center, Harrisburg, Illinois., where they live. 1 child - Edward Arthur (Ned) Kottmeyer - b. May 12, 1970.

6. Roger Eldon Kottmeyer - b. Sept. 30, 1947; m. Sept. 5, 1969, Georgine Behrman - b. March 12. Roger attended Kaskaskia Jr. College and graduated from S.I.U., Carbondale. He teaches at Carlyle Jr. High. Georgine graduated from Murray State in Special Education and teaches at Breese, Illinois., where they live. No children.
6. Shirley Rose Kottmeyer - b. May 25, 1949; m. Nov. 16, 1968, Dale Campbell. They live on a farm north of Hoyleton. 1 daughter - Michelle June - b. Aug. 13, 1970.

5. Luverna Collmeyer -b. March 12, 1923; m.Rufus Edwin Hoffman- b.Apr.19,1911. Rufus enlisted in the U. S. Navy in July of 1942 and was discharged Oct. 1945, having at-tained the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Served on an L.S.T. in the Pacific and for 19 mos. was on a minesweeper. Took part in the invasion of New Guinea. He now operates an I G.A. mar-ket in New Minden in the same building which housed the old Hoffman Store. T his has been in operation since May of 1951. 3 children - Ronald; Janet; Robert.
6. Ronald Rufus Hoffman-b. July l6, 1943 ; m. Apr. 21, 1965, Bonnie L.Voltiner - b. Apr. 23, 1946. Ronald attended Centralia Jr. College and S.I.U. Is an accountant. 1 child - Jeffrey Allen Hoffman - b. Sept. 16, 1966.
6. Janet Emilie Hoffman - b. Oct. 21, 1946; m. Sept. 1967, Robert Sells - b. Feb. 27, 1941. Janet is a 1967 graduate of Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. Bob attended Chicago Institute of Technology 3 years - majored in Architectural Engineering. Now farms in the Hoyleton area. 3 children -- Wendy Lyn - b. July 31, 1968; Tanimy Sue - b. Octo-ber 26, 1969.; Corey Robert - b. Sept. 22, 1971.

6. Carol Heseman - b. Sept. 9, 1941; m. May 22, 1960, Roy Krueger - b. Aug. 10, 1936. 3 children -- Cheryl Krueger - b. March 27, 1961; Susan Krueger - b. May 10, 1963 ; Randy Krueger - b. June 26, 1970. Carol worked as a stenographer in St. Louis before marriage. Roy served in the U. S. Air Force and was stationed for 3 years in Newfoundland. Now farms in the Hoyleton area.
6. Nancy Heseman - b. May 9, 1951; m. Oct. 18, 1971, Stanley Renth - b. Aug. 2, 1946. Nancy is a graduate of Centralia School of Cosmetology and she and Betty Kraft operate a beauty shop in Hoyleton, ILL. Stanley is an employee of Missouri-Pacific Railroad and a mem-ber of the National Guard.
5. Erna Collmeyer - b. Apr. 26, 1918; m. Oct. 20, 1941, Irvin Meinert - b. March 26, 1915. Irvin served in the army during W.W.II and was stationed in the S. Pacific. 3 children - Stanley; Lloyd; Lois.

6. Lloyd Meinert - b. May 1, 1950; m. June 10, 1971, Carol Voss of Breese, Illinois. He attends S.I.U. on a Scholarship - Now works at Murray Children's Center, Centralia, Illinois.
6. Lois Meinert - b. July 4, 1954. Works part time at Friendship Manor Nursing Home, Nash-ville, Illinois. Plans to attend S. I.U., Edwardsville, Illinois.
5. Cordelia Collmeyer -b. May 8,1 924; m. May 22,1949, Eugene Hildebrand b. Feb. 7, 1922. No children. Live in Missouri.
5. Grace Collmeyer - b. Dec. 10, 1928; m. June 4, 1950, Harold Luebke - b. July 17, 1928. He served in the Marines in California. Now works in maintenance at S.I.U., Carbondale, Illi-nois. 4 children -- Keith - b. Sept. 19, 1953. Has attended art college, Wis.; Brad b. Oct. 11, 1955 Brian b. Oct. 15, 1962; Kevin - b. Henry J. Collmeyer - b. March 27, 1849; d. Aug. 10, 1929;
m. May 21, 1874, Anna Frye - b. Feb. 3, 1854; d. May 31, 1926.
They spent their entire lives in the New Minden area and lived on the farm south of New Minden -
still in possession of their descendants - the Theodore Grefe Family.
They lived to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in May, 1924.

5. Paul Collmeyer - Lives in St. Louis. Is married and has stepchildren.
5. Lorna Collmeyer - Lives in St. Louis. M. Edyman, who is no longer living. 2 children - Dianne & Glenn.

4. Emelie (Amelia) Collmeyer -b. Nov. 15,1 879; d. Oct. 8, 1965 ; m. May l8, 1905, in St. John's, New Minden, Theodore Grefe (brother of Clara) - b. Oct. 17, 1879; d. June 25, 1972. Theodore was a resident of Washington Springs Nursing Home the last nine years of his life and it was here in May of 1965 that he and Emilie quietly celebrated their 66th wedding anni-versary - just a few months before she died. In 1971, at the time of the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the organization of St. John's, New Minden, he was the oldest living member and his picture appears in the booklet as such. 2 children - Sarah Grefe - b. Apr. 19, 1906 -, Benjamin Grefe - b. Aug. 28, 1909. They live on the home farm.

6. Karen Prasuhn - b. March 14, 1949; m. June 21, 1969, Donald Wood - b. July 13, 1946. No children. Karen is a graduate of Rend Lake Jr. College, where she received an Associated Arts De-gree. Donald is a C.P.A. in Anchorage, Alaska, where they live. He is a graduate of the Univer-sity of ILL. He attained the rank of Spec. 4, in the Army - was stationed at Ft. Jackson, S.C., and Ft. Wainwright, Fairbanks, Alaska.

5. Walter Nieman - b. Apr. 25, 1914; m. Aug.18,1945, Norma Preushner - b.May l2, 1921. 1 son - David Nieman - b. Nov. 1, 1957. Lives on the farm which was at one time the property of Frederick Hoffman, brother of Elisa-beth, and on which he is said to be buried.

6. Charles Vogt - b. Oct. 31, 1942; m. May 8, 1965, Judith Ann Kraus - b. Dec. 5, 1946. Charles served in the Army for 2 years. 2 children - Lori Jean Vogt - b. Apr. 27, 1966; Amy Lynn Vogt - b. Sept. 18,1967; d. Feb. 27,1968.
6. Roger Vogt - b. March 3,1947; m. Aug. 23,1969, Brenda Ladendecker - b. March 6, 1950. Roger served in the National Guard for 6 years. Brenda is a Beauty Operator. 1 daughter - Nicole Renee - b. Apr. 15, 1972.
