| Local legend states : that burials of at least sixty-four persons occured at Taylor Cemetery. One of these burials was of the last known Native American Indian that had lived in the territory. The last burial was that of a young Hannenberger boy. |
Marci's recent visit to Taylor cemetery showed no more than fifteen tombstones visible. Information states that during January of 1981 the property or adjacent property owners hired a contractor to bulldoze the area. When the contractor noticed that he was uprooting tombstones; he ceased. During the years since that event nothing has been done. |
