Taylor Cemetery is located in Section 3 of Covington Township
In Washington County, Illinois on Hogshead Road
northeast of Covington & south of Dog Alley Road; on the east side.

Local legend states :
that burials of at least sixty-four persons
occured at Taylor Cemetery.
One of these burials was
of the last known Native American Indian

When the contractor noticed that he was
uprooting tombstones; he ceased.
During the years since that event nothing
has been done.
