George Reed
 
Hugh Adams was notified by wire of the sudden death of George Reed, which occurred Saturday at Omaha, Neb.
 
Deceased, a half-brother of the late Dr. J.H. Means, was born and reared in Washington county on the old Reed place now occupied by Roy Wright. He was married to Miss Mary Adams, daughter of Hugh Adams, sr., and lived on the old Richards farm until twenty-five years ago when the family removed to Nebraska.
 
Mr. Reed held a position as traveling deputy of the Modern Woodman. He leaves his wife, two daughters, Mina and Bessie, and one son, Dr. Hugh Ree, all of Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Reed made their home with their daughter, Mrs. (Dr.) J.C.A. Kenner, Omaha, Neb. Mrs. Reed is a sister of Dave Adams of Muskogee, Okla., Chambers Adams and Mrs. Zach Means of East St. Louis and Mrs. W.L. Francis of here. Chambers Adams attended the funeral.
