Ross Guthrie
Ross Guthrie passed away Tuesday, April 21, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Guthrie in Oakdale. He was born near Oakdale March 31, 1880, and united with the U.P. church when 14 years of age. Mr. Guthrie was a telegrapher and suffered a nervous breakdown which terminated in an attack of paralysis a year ago in St. Louis. He returned to Oakdale and never recovered, having been seriously ill during the past two weeks and finally succumbed to heart failure. Deceased leaves to mourn his loss his wife, who was formerly Miss Blanch Kirkpatrick, two children, Melba Hyacinth and Thomas Ross, his parents, three brothers, Allison of Kansas, Ralph of Danville and Lester of Oakdale, and one sister, Mrs. Edith Wilson of St. Louis.
