Henry Stokes
Henry Stokes, an aged citizen of Coulterville, died at his home Feb. 1, aged 76 years. He was a native of Bristol, England, and came to America when 14 years old. Mr. Stokes served in the Civil War and was for a time confined in Libby Prison. His wife, a daughter and three sons, one of whom is R.J. Stokes of Richview, survive him. Funeral services were held Feb. 3 and interment was made at Coulterville.
