           In the Name of His Royal Highness,    the GRAND DUKE     of     HESSEN
 
As Georg Zacheis, from the town of Semd, County Dinburg, has asked permission
to leave the GRAND    DUKEDOM    of    HESSEN    and immigrate to North America, for the
purpose of living there.    We give him, herewith,    this permission.
Therefore, we affix this SEAL to this document.
The Government Commission of the GRAND DUKE    of    HESSEN.

Whereas, the soldier, Johann Georg Zacheis, of the First Battalion,
and whose description we give attached, and who served Six years in the
GRAND DUKE's own regiment, who was born in Semd, County Dinburg, Army of
HESSEN, has asked for a discharge from military service because he has served
his time. We give him, herewith, this discharge document, signed and sealed
by the Commandant (Colonel) of the Regiment.
      Offenburg, Germany, April first, one thousand, eight hundred thirty.
