No unusual or peculiar disease has prevailed in this subdivision during the last year. The diseases most prevalent are intermintint typhoid, bilious and congestive fever - pneumonia is also a disease incident to this climate, and I may also state that typhoid pneumonia is equally quite as prevelent.

"Intermintent fever is the most common disease in this county, however it is unusually de?rasing in consequence of the country becoming more settled. Those diseases denominated Typhoid Pneumonia and a disease usually known by the name of Milk Sick are the ones perticularly dreaded"

A disease denominated Hog Cholera has prevailed for the last two years & the farmers have almost come to the conclusion that pork is of no avail. It quite unnecessary for me to make remarks with regard to the cause that produces; or rather effects, the disease as the subject has been before the people for some time and investigated by most able Veterinary Surgeons; however, had I the space, I should very much like to promulgate my views with regard to the nature of the disease.

No fertilizers used - the farmers in this region depend solely upon old master for next year's provision. The soil throughout the county is a sandy clay and the best manure is ordinary farm manure
