Atteberry Cemetery (Left) Looking south from Atteberry toward 20cr -200e (Right)

Atteberry Cemetery

Barnhill Township

Cemetery is kept up.  The Atteberry name has several variant spellings used on the stones.  It is located on the land of Mike & Sharla Shreve, they operate Shreve's Pumpkin Patch. During the Fall when pumpkins are in season please stop by their place.  I spoke with Mr. Shreve, very nice man, and doesn't mind people having access to the cemeteries, but as a courtesy it is always nice to stop by and let the landowners know you are visiting a cemetery on their land.  Also in the case of Atteberry Cem. Mr. Shreve saved me a lot of grief by giving me directions, prepare for a hike to this one.  If you are heading south out of Fairfield on Rte 45 you will go to CR-200N and turn left (East) Atteberry is located on a prairie hilltop North of CR-200N between CR-1990E & CR-2050E.  Cemetery Transcribed & photographed by Michael J.
