The following cemetery information is based on many sources; obituaries exchanged with other researchers, the books of Bettie Wheat, Betty Beeson and Doris Bland, the Illinois State Historic Library, Richardson Funeral Home records, Nales Funeral Records, Johnson Funeral Home, Crippin Funeral Home as well as Legacy of Kin 1&2.
In November of 2007 my daughter Heather and I took pictures of every headstone. Where you see the word AVAILABLE we have pictures of that headstone. These pictures are available upon request, we ask only that a donation be sent to the cemetery to help maintain it. Laurie

BAILEY CEMETERY
The Bailey Cemetery, also known as the Bailey Church Cemetery, is located 6.5 miles north of Wayne City, Illinois, at the intersection of two country roads. The cemetery has two sections. The old section is north and west of the intersection. (right side of picture) The old cemetery is bordered by a hard road on the south and trees on the west and north. Many of the graves in the old section are unmarked. The new cemetery is south and west of the intersection. (Left) There are several large trees and a driveway immediately west of the north south road. This is probably where the Bailey Church once stood. The new cemetery is to the west of these trees.
