My maternal 2nd great-grandmother Sarah Jane (MCCORMICK) was a sister of Emaline (MCCORMICK.

My maternal grandmother Janie Mae (STOGSDILL) MARSH was a daughter of Charles Edward STOGSDILL & Rose Ann (LEATHERS) STOGSDILL.

Rose Ann (LEATHERS was a daughter of William Marrion LEATHERS & his first wife Sarah Jane (MCCORMICK) LEATHERS.

I would be very pleased to hear from any descendant or related surname of LEATHERS & MCCORMICK families.

My maternal grandmother Janie Mae (STOGSDILL) 3rd from left in the front row, in the white pinafore and white hair ribbon was his grandchild age 9 years.

I believe a traveling photographer took this photo and the Wayne County IL HELM grade school photo the same day or week.

Rose Ann (LEATHERS) was born 1875 Wayne Co, Illinois.

Rose Ann was a daughter of William Marrion LEATHERS & Sarah Jane (MCCORMICK) LEATHERS.

My maternal grandmother Janie Mae (STOGSDILL) MARSH b. 1900 Orchardville, Wayne Co, Illinois said her mother Rose Ann (LEATHERS) STOGSDILL had Cherokee Indian blood.

My great grandmother Rose Ann (LEATHERS) had that Cherokee Indian beautiful dark hair and dark eyes and

my great-grandfather Charles Edward STOGSDILL had fine features, blonde hair and blue eyes and was of early to America German ancestors.

They were quite a contrast in looks.
