Moses Dickey’s Georgia Home

My name is Jon Crask. My family roots are from western & central Wayne County, and east Jefferson County. I really appreciated and enjoyed the pictures and info concerning the Moses Dickey family. Catherine Matilda Dickey Braddy is my Great Great-Gramma, her son Thomas Braddy being my maternal Gramma's daddy.

My Grandparents (Vernon (d. 1989) & Waneta Braddy Evans) drove around the states after my Grampa's retirement, visiting relatives out west, and searching for long lost relatives in the east and down south. I have a picture they took in the 1980's of Moses Dickey's house in Chickamauga, Georgia.

George Braddy, Jr. (pictured below) served with the US Army in the Philippine’s during WWII. He was captured by the Japanese, and forced aboard the 'Hell Ship' "Arisan Maru", (Pictured below) and eventually lost at sea when that ship was torpedoed by a US submarine.
