Dinner Honors 35th Wedding Anniversary of Lawrence Hockmans

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hockman of 515 Oakland Avenue were guests of honor at a family dinner Sunday in observance of their 35th Wedding Anniversary which was an event of Saturday April 29. The dinner was served in the home of their son-in-law and eldest daughter Mr. and Mrs. (Dorothy) Francis Nelson of Shannon.

Those present at the dinner were the honored couple, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Nara (Goldie) Hunter and three children of Morrison, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond (Ruth) Verbeck and son of Fulton, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert (Mildred) Mathews and daughter of Morrison. All members of their immediate family were present.

The dinner featured a beautiful 3-tiered anniversary cake iced in coral and white and topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom. Other decorations in the dining room and table appointments also carried out the coral and white color scheme in recognition of the "35th" or "Coral" anniversary. The cake was baked and decorated by Mrs. Hunter and Mrs. Mathews.

Emily Wulf and Lawrence Hockman were married April 29, 1915 in the Methodist Church Manse of this city, with the Rev. James Potter performing the ceremony. The couple has resided in Morrison since their marriage with the exception of five years residence in Waupan Wisconsin. She was born in Morrison the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wulf and he is a native of Kent Illinois and his parents were Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hockman. They are affiliated with the Methodist church. Mr. Hockman operates an upholster's business with a shop at the rear of their home. Hosts of friends extend congratulations.
