Rev. Arthur G. Annette, the Moody Bible institute alumni field representative will be one of the speakers of the day. Mr. Annette has left a substantial patorate in the First Baptist church of Grundy center, Ia., to become the representative in the field for the alumni association. Before his seven years in Grundy Center, he was a pastor in Plainfield Ill., six years.
Mr. ANnette came from railroading into the Christian minitry, for which he qualified by graduating from both the Moody Bible isntitute and the NOrthern Baptist seminary.
Irving Peterson, student at the Northern Baptist seminary and a former pastor will also be present and will be one of the speakers of the day. There will also be other speakers from out of town.

Tampico Baptist Church was organized in 1877 with 26 persons in
attendance. The first deacons were E.A. Hovey, R.M. Bullock, Samuel
Johnson and Alfred Smith. They first rented the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church, buying it in 1880. The membership grew to 145 in the first year. The church was remodeled in 1900 with a metal ceiling, a new reed organ and a furnace. A new parsonage was built and occupied February 20, 1903. In 1951 and electric organ was donated to the church in the memory of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred H. Smith.
Sunday, January 30, 1938, the Tampico Baptist church will hold its annual homecoming and also observe the 60th anniversary of its organization. There will be services at 11, 2:30 and 7:30. Former pastors and guest speakers will be present to take part in these services and there will be special music. Picnic dinner and supper will be served at the church.
