Sgt. Donald E. DICKEY, 20, (Of Sterling) son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dickey was injured during a battle for a Korean mountain recently. Sgt. Dickey was not hit by Communist fire but fell down the mountain and injured his ankle. St. Dickey wrote that 212 men participated in the raiding party and only 62 escaped uninjured. Sgt. Dickey soon is scheduled to come home on rotation. He is serving with the 3rd Infantry Division. He enlisted June 15, 1950, and took training at Ft. Riley, Kan. He was sent to Korea last New Years Day.
