To this home were born six children: Mrs. Edith Teach of Lyndon, IL, Mrs. Ruby Baird of Lake Beulah, WI, Mrs. May Richards of Prophetstown, and Walter B., who, with his family resides at the old home. Louise and Joseph, together with the loved wife and mother, preseeded William to the grave ....... He also......(page is torn).....and Delbert......Charles, Lewis and Mrs. John Bunker of Kansas, and Mrs. Mary Baird of Sterling, Ill., who with many other relatives and friends will mourn his death. He was a true husband, a kind father, a good neighbor and a loyal friend. Unassuming, yet with a kind and generous heart, ever ready to extend the warm hand of fellowship to those in need. "By their works shall ye know them."
The funeral services were held at the Leon church Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Williamson officiating, and the remains were laid at rest in the Leon Cemetery. The pall Bearers were all old friends and neighbors. They were: S.M. Cox, S.E. Eakle, John Winkler, Louis Zschiesche, George Goodell and Peter Christofferson.
