OF
Oliver Batten & Elenore Beyers

Miss Elenore Beyers and Oliver Batton were united in marriage by Rev. Paul Rekpe at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Rudolph Beyers, five and one half miles northeast of Kewanee, Tuesday evening, Jan. 21 at 7 o'clock.

The "Lohengrin" wedding march was played by the bride's sister, Mrs. Matthew Schmidt. The couple were attended by Miss Cleo MacGregor and Lawrence Beyers. The bride wore a frock of white satin crepe and georgette and carried a shower bouquet of pink rosebuds. Miss MacGregor wore a beige chiffon.

Following the ceremony a two course wedding dinner was served by the Misses Esther Heise, Ethel Henning and Elda Quart. The centerpiece at the table was a large wedding cake decorated with miniature bride and grove. The house decorations were in orchid and pink.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Rudolph Beyers and the groom is the son of Howard Batton of Tampico. The newly weds will reside on the farm with the bride's mother. Those from Tampico attending the wedding were Howard Batton and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Dietz and son Wilfred. Mrs. Deitz is a sister of the groom. Tampico friends extend congratulations.
