WEDDINGS
The bridal couple was ushered in to the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march, played by Mrs. Rolland Miller, a life time friend of the bride. Miss Alice Rowland of Chicago sweetly sang, "At Dawning," and "I Love You Truly." Mrs. Miller accompanied on the piano. The nuptial vows were taken before a bank of snapdragons and ferns which formed a bower of beauty.
Mrs. Russell Geller of Springfield, 0., schoolmate of the bride, was matron of honor, and Clarence Deets, brother of the groom, served as best man. Lloyd McBride, former manager of the Surgeon store in Princeton, was usher.
The bride was lovely in a biege ensemble suit with accessories to match. She carried orchilds.
Mrs. Deets, since her granduation from Northwestern university, has been associated with that institution as faculty secretary in the law school and the school of commerce. She is associated with Phi Omega Pi sorority, and before leaving Chicago was the guest of honor at numerous social functions and showers.
Mr. Deets is a graduate of the Sterling township high school in the class of 1925. Following his graduation he was affiliated with the Central Trust and Savings bank in Sterling until he became assistant cashier in the Citizens First National bank in Princeton, in 1928.
Following the marriage ceremony there was a reception for the wedding guests. Included in the list of
guests were Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Deets, son Clarence and daughter Katherine of Emerson. The bridel party was
entertained at a high noon dinner at the Creve Coeur club in Peoria. Mr. and Mrs. Deets, while are enjoying a
wedding trip, will be at home to their friends after, Apt. 1 at 422 West Peru street, Princeton.
