In 1923 it was decreed by State
Law that "every child between the ages of 7 and 16 years must attend
school
The newspaper account added, "Such records, which depend largely
on efforts of perents to have their children in school every day, not
only greatly benefit the school as a whole but serve as a valuable
training for the child by creating a desire for honest and prompt
discharge of any duties.
