Mrs. Alberta Tyler, 60, died suddenly at 11 p.m. Wednesday at her home, 484 Tyler Dr., New Albany. Mrs. Tyler, the former Alberta Green, was a native of New Albany and a member of the Holy Family Church. Survivors are her husband, Owen R. Tyler; a son, Frank A. Tyler, New Albany; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Constantine, Clarksville; two sisters, Mrs. Chester V. Lorch, New Albany and Mrs. James F. Quinn, Clarksville; and six grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta (Green) Tyler, 60, of 484 Tyler Drive, New Albany, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Family Catholic Church with burial in the St. Mary Cemetery. Funeral services for Doris Wilcox “Dottie” Brewer Tyler, 74, of Clarksville, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Scott Funeral Home, with burial in Providence Church Cemetery, Paoli. She died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, at Clark Memorial Hospital. She was a former worker at the old Powder Plant in Charlestown. Survivors include two sons, Klein W. Brewer, New York, N.Y., and Riley Brewer, Paoli; four sisters, Elizabeth Hostettler, Jane Reisert, Shirley Faye Dowdell and Cleon Lawler, all of Jeffersonville; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial services for Frank A. “Tony” Tyler, 41, 900 Oxford Court, Clarksville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Clarksville. He died Sunday at Veterans Hospital, Louisville. He was a native of Floyd County and a member of the IBEW Local 369 of Louisville. Survivors include his wife, the former Carole Willis; two sons, David and Brian Tyler, both of Clarksville; and a sister, Sharon Dale, Clarksville. The body was donated to the U of L Anatomy Department. Private funeral services for Owen R. (Doc) Tyler, 68, 823 Applegate Lane, Clarksville, will be held Thursday. He died at 7:15 p.m. Monday at 531 Accrusia Ave., Clarksville, of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Clark County Coroner E. M. Coots. Tyler was a native of Harrison County and a retired chemist at the Louisville Gas & Electric Company. Survivors are his wife, the former Doris Jean Willcox; three sons, Frank A. Tyler, New Albany, Riley Brewer, Jeffersonville, and Klein Brewer, New York City; and one daughter, Mrs. Sharon Constantine Dale, Clarksville.
