CLARK
COUNTY, INDIANA ABSTRACTS OF WILLS AND EXECUTORS’ RECORDS
1801-1817
The following abstracts of wills and
executors’ records were originally
printed in the Indiana Magazine of History in 1939 and 1940. In 1969,
the Genealogy Section of the Indiana Historical Society reprinted them
in combina¬tion with Clark County marriage records, 1807-1824. That
publication has long been out-of-print. When the Society published in
1979, Genealogical Sources; Reprinted from The Genealogy Section,
Indiana Magazine of History, also compiled by Miss Riker, these records
were not included. Since the membership of the Indiana Historical
Society has increased since 1940, and many new and younger members have
not had access to previous printings, the Publications Committee of the
Family History Section recommended that these records be made available
to our current readers.
