MCADAMS, Judy A. Died April 25, 2007

Judy A. McAdams, 60, Milltown, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at 9:15 a.m. at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

Born Aug. 2, 1946, in Leavenworth, she was the daughter of Enos Hollowell of Corydon and the late Nancy Robinson Hollowell.

She was a homemaker, and a member of the Milltown American Legion Auxillary Post 332 and the Washington Boat Club.

Survivors besides her father include two daughters, Melissa Brown of Milltown and Susan Darland of English; a brother, Jerry Hollowell of New Albany; a friend who cared for her, Preston E. Lashbrook of Milltown; and four grandchildren.

Funeral: Saturday April 28, at Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown with burial in El Bethel Cemetery near Milltown.

Officiants: The Revs. John Bye and Morris Larimore.

Pianist: Annette Culbertson.

Soloist: Sharon Mitchell.

Pallbearers: Robert Arnold, John Culbertson, Kevin Darland, Paul W. Elliott, Howard Lincoln Sr., Howard Lincoln Jr. and Bill Mitchell.

MEAD, Mrs Benjamin, Died November 1, 1962, Near Alton, Indiana.

Alton - Mrs Benjamin Mead, 81, died Thursday night in her home near here. She was the former Delta Ridge, and spent her entire life in this community. Surviving are her husband; a sister, Mrs Ella Hodgins, Sanford, Fla., and a brother, Lochel Ridge, Louisville. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stephenson Funeral Home in Leavenworth. Burial will be in Blue (Bloom) Riddle Cemetery.

MORGAN, Amos, Died February 11, 1944

Amos Morgan, son of William and Millie Ann Morgan was born March 10, 1862 near Marengo, Crawford County, Indiana and departed this life at his home in Cambellsburg on Friday evening February 11, 1944 at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 28 days.

He was the fourth child of a family of eight, five brothers, John, James, Sam, Mart, and George and two sisters, Mary Jane and Rhoda.  All have preceded him except George

 Early in his life he confessed his Lord and for a good many years has beena member of the Carter's Creek Christian Church.

On March 14, 1888 he was united in marriage to Katherine Clover Bennett.  To this union were born four children, Ada Belle, Ervin Ray, Leonard and Ernest.  On June 6, 1896 his companion passed to her reward.

He was married to Mary Ellen Russell on September 19, 1897.  To this union two sons were born, Lester and Noble.

Amos as he was known to his many friends was a kind and good neighbor.  He was always ready to lend a helping hand.

He leaves to mourn his passing the wife, three sons, Leonard of Greenwood, Lester of Indianapolis, Noble of Mitchell, three daughters-in-law, one brother George of Bromer, three grand-children, Mrs. Clifford Powell of Washington, D.C., Aviation Cadet Ralph Eddy Morgan or Hiram, O., Fireman First Class Marvin Morgan of Norfolk, Virginia and other relatives and friends.

He who builds a church within his heart and takes it with him every where is holier far than he whose church is but a one-day house of prayer.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church on Monday at 2 o'clock by the Rev. Harold Odor.  The Carter's Creek quartet sang.  Interment was made in the Liberty cemetery.
