Chenoa -(PNS)- Mrs Minnie Newkirk, 76 died at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday in her home in Chenoa. She had been ill for several months.

The body was taken to the Easton Pils Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. (daylight) Saturday at the Chenoa Baptist Church. The Rev Art King will officiate. Burial will be in the Chenoa Cemetery.

She was born July 21, 1874, in Crawford County, Indiana, daughter of G.B. and Merniva Wiseman Kemp. She was married to Marshal Newkirk Oct. 25, 1892.

Word was received here of the death of Marsh Newkirk, almost 98, on October 18 at a nursing home at Chenoa, Ill. He was born and grew up in Boone Township. He had lived in Illinois for about 50 years.
