| SILLINGS, John Wayne age 39; of Leavenworth
Funeral services for John Wayne Sillings, 39, of Leavenworth, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home, Corydon, with burial in Bloom Riddle Cemetery near Leavenworth. He died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003 in an automobile accident near Leavenworth. He was a native of Tell City and the owner of Sillings and Sons Masonry in Leavenworth. Survivors include his wife, the former Jan M. Sturgeon; his parents, Harrison and Fennettia Minton Sillings, Palmyra; two sons, Jonathan and Lucas Sillings, at home; two brothers, Rev. William Sillings, Oklahoma City and Rev. Ben Sillings, Marengo; two sisters, Shirlene Chester, Centerville, and Cynthia Dooley, Bean Station, Tenn. Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. today, Monday, Nov. 10, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and after 8 a.m. on Wednesday.

Final Rites Held For Emery Sturgeon, 89 English Route 1- Emery Sturgeon, 89, a retired farmer, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday at his home after a long illness. He was a member of Mathers Chapel Church and Marengo Red Men Lodge. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rella Sturgeon, five daughters, Mrs. Elsie Borst, of near English, Mrs. Hester Timberlake, of Sulphur, Mrs. Beulah Welch, of Dahlgren, Va., Mrs. Mildred Goldman, of Muncie and Mrs. Mary Lou Bye of Marengo; two sons, Thomas Sturgeon of Grand Rapids Mich., and Robert Sturgeon; a brother, William E. Sturgeon, of English, Route 1; 21 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Final rites were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo. Kenneth Eade, of English, Christian Minister, officiated. Burial was in Mathers Chapel Cemetery. Crawford County Democrat, Friday, June 18, 1965 |
