in Oak Grove Cemetery, Washington, Ind. Survived by widow, Myrtle Ingle
Allen, and one son, James Elwood Allen, Washington, Ind.

County, Ind. Moved with parents to Daviess County, in 1898. Employee of
All Steel Equipage Company, Aurora, Ill., where he entered service June
24, 1918. Sent to Camp Grant, 1ll.; assigned to First Aid Corps, 36
Medical Detachment. Operated on for brain tumor, contracted influenza,
and died January 8, 1919, Camp Grant, 1ll. Buried, Scotland, Greene
County, Ind.

early in September, 1918, with Company M, 320th Infantry, 80th
Division. Killed in action November 5, 1918, Argonne Drive. Buried, St.
Juvin Cemetery, Ardennes, France.

1892, Plainville, Daviess County, Ind. Bridge carpenter. Employed in
Jefferson, Iowa, when he entered service June 26, 1918. Sent to Camp
Gordon, Ga.; assigned to Company K, 5th Replacement Regiment. Embarked
for overseas September 20, 1918; assigned to 5th Company, Automatic
Replacement Unit. Died of pneumonia October 5, 1918, in France. Body
returned to U.S., and buried at Plainville, Daviess County, Ind.

Infantry. Died July 23, 1918, from wounds received in action. Buried in

1917, and was sent to Great Lakes Naval Training Station, Ill.
Transferred to Norfolk, Va.; later assigned to duty as fireman on the
Manly. Died March 19, 1918, from wounds received from explosion of
depth bomb. Accident occurred a few miles off the English coast.
