a wealthy farmer, aged seventy, died this morning of cancer of
the stomach after a brief illness. He leaves a wife and seven children.

St. Paul Ind., Jan. 20,
Rev. E. A. Allen, pastor of the Sixth Presbyterian Church, of
Indianapolis, was called here this morning by the dangerous illness of
his son Stanley.
He arrived In time to see his son die, at 11 a. m. The funeral will
occur four miles east of here to-morrow at 3 p. m.

The funeral of Judge J. D. Miller was held today
Edwin Kelley Falls Dead.
Greensburg, Ind. May 24.
Edwin Kelley, a harness maker, dropped dead this afternoon of heart
disease, while working at his bench. Mr. Kelly had been in
business here for fifty years.

box factory at Decatur, accidentally fell into a vat of boiling
water and was scalded to death.

Mrs. Ann King died at 7:30 o'clock Sunday night at the home of her son.
R. B. King, two miles west of Adam after a long illness. She had lived
on
the same farm for 57 years. The deceased had been in poor health for
some time and was taken worse ten weeks ago. Two weeks ago she
underwent an operation and
was apparently recovering but her age and condition were against her
and the end came as stated above. Mrs. King's name was Ann
Tillson and she was born in
Darke county, O., October 28, 1836 and was therefore in her 82nd year.
She came with her parents to Milford when a small child and was married
there to James King
on May 3, 1858. They lived in Milford for about three years when they
moved in 1861 to the farm where she lived for 57 year. Mrs. King
was one
of the good pioneer mothers of Decatur county and had been a member of
the Christian church for more than sixty years. Her husband died May
21, 1911

King Funeral Held This Afternoon
Of the four children born to them three survive: R. B. King, Mrs. G. H.
( Alma) Templeton and Mrs. Lilly Vanausdall.
She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Abigail Knight, of Garnet,
Kan..
The funeral was held at the home at 2 o'clock this afternoon, Rev.
Samuel J. Tomlinson of Fairland, officiating. Burial at Milford
cemetery.

Frank Owens, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Owens of East Washington
street died at his home Saturday night, aged 34 years, one month and
four
days. He leaves his parents three brothers, John, Lewis and Roll and a
sister, Mrs. John Bruner. The funeral was held at ten o'clock
this morning. Rev. C. B.
Jones officiating. Burial in South Park cemetery.

Funeral services for Samuel H. Bosley, 73, were held at the Milroy
Christian church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Adams.
Burial was made in the Milroy cemetery. Mr. Bosley had been an invalid
for twenty years and died Friday.
Deceased served two enlistments in the Civil War with the 54th Indiana
volunteers and later with Company E, 123rd Indiana volunteers.
He was a member of the Milroy G.A.R. post. Ho had been a member of the
Christian church since boyhood. He leaves five children, Mrs. Francis
Fishback,
of Pekin, IL, Mrs. ?. E. Berner of Indianapolis; Mrs. J. L. Pearsons,
who lived with him; George C. Bosley of Richmond, and
ill [sic] Bosely, of Milroy.

Frank Klene, age 24, died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John
Klene of North Broadway at 2:10 this morning.
Mr. Klene had been ill with tuberculosis for the past year.
He is survived by his father, mother and five brothers and two sister:
Will, George, Clara and Mrs. Rose Doerflinger of this city and Ben and
Fred of Cincinnati.
Funeral services wil be held at the St. Mary's Catholic church Friday
morning at 830. Interment will take place at the Catholic cemetery.
The sympathy of friends and neighbors go out too the family in this,
their sad hour of bereavement.

Westport, Ind. Nov. 28 --- Mrs. James Landis has received word of the
death of her son Michael, 25 years old, of wounds in action in France
Oct. 10.
He had been in service nearly a year and was the first Westport boy to
make the supreme sacrifice. He was the eighth Decatur county man
to die overseas.
Landis is survived by his mother, two sisters, Mrs. David Neeley, North
Vernon, and Mrs. Ernest Duesenberg, Westport; four brothers,
Eldo Landis, indianapolis; Frank Landis, Charleston, W. Va; Fred
Landis, Elkhart, and Horace Landis, in military service.

Funeral Of The Late Judge J.D. Miller Held At Greensburg
GREENSBURG, Ind.. March 21—The funeral of Judge J. D. Miller was held
to-day

Two little boys were recently playing with a shot gun, in Decatur
county, when one shot the other through
the neck, severing the jugular vein, and .killing him almost instantly.
The name of the boy killed was Hewitt, aged ten years.

Mrs. C. A. Kinter, formerly of Bristol. died at her home in Milford at
5 p. m. Tuesday, and the remains were transferred here today, en route
to Bristol, for interment.
She was 51 years of age and is survived by her husband and three
children.
