Butler Woman Buried Here
Mrs. Minerval A. Graf,
73, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 20, at the home of her daughter,
Mrs.Willard Underhill, Butler,
following an illness of two months.
Mrs. Graf
was born in Edgerton, and had resided the last 46 years in
Butler. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Order of
Eastern Star.
Surviving in addition to the daughters are her
husband, Edward; two brothers, Charles Hiner
and Ora Hiner, both of Butler,
and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Friday in the
Johnson Funeral Home in Butler, with the Rev. E.L. Jaycox officiating. Burial was
in Maple Grove Cemetery here.

Bertha M. Fry Buried Here
Mrs. Bertha Fry,
60,
of Butler, Ind., a former resident of the Edgerton community, died
Thursday morning in the Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville, where
she had been a patient 11 weeks. She had lived at Butler 16 years.
Surviving are her husband, James; five sons, James, Wendell, Harvey,
Robert and Walter, all of Butler; 10 daughters, Mrs. Lucille Phillips, Mrs. Dorothy Jones and Mrs. Bernadine Jones of Bryan; Mrs. Maxine Flowers, Edon; Mrs. Ann Morris, Wauseon; Mrs. Janet Poe, Hamilton, Ind., and Mrs. Lois Warner, Mrs. Bertha Black and Margaret and Donna Fry, all of Butler; 32
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Kirkland, Phoenix, Ariz., and a
brother, Otis Worthington, of
Shelby.
Services were held at the Johnson Funeral Home in
Butler at 2 pm Saturday with Rev. Ronald
Fox, pastor of the Butler Church of Christ, officiating.

Father of Dick Smith Dies In
Auburn
Kenneth D. Smith,
63, the father of Edgerton High School guidance counselor Richard Smith
and a resident of Auburn, Ind., died just after noon Friday in the Br.
Bonnell M. Souder Hospital in the later city. Ill for a period of
six months, he had been hospitalized for the past four days.
A native of DeKalb County, he had lived in Auburn for 24 years and was
a civil engineer. He was a member of the First United Methodist
Church in Auburn.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille, a daughter,
Margaret, of Angola, and the local son. Mrs. Smith is librarian ao Eckhart
Library in Auburn.
Final rites were held Sunday afternoon at the Dilgard and Cline Funeral
Home with burial in Fairfield cemetery.

Long Illness Takes Burl Moughler,
87
Burl Moughler,
87, died at Fountain Manor Nursing Home in Hicksville where he had been
a patient for two years.
Mr. Moughler
was born in Wilmington Township, south of Butler. He lived in
Troy Township in Dekalb County, Ind. for 62 years, and was a retired
farmer specializing in beef cattle.
He was a member of the Big Run United Methodist
Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Helen Wagner of Clyde, O., two sons, Olus
and Roy Moughler
of Troy Township, 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great
great grandchild. His wife Della, died in 1968. Three other
children also preceded him in death.
Funeral services are today at 2:00 pm in the Big Run
Church with the Rev. Guy Jeffers
officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Johnson Funeral Home, Butler, Ind. is in charge of
services.

Lester Jennings
ws found dead Sunday evening at the home of his daughter and husband,
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Lockwood at
Ashley. His funeral was Wednesday afternoon at Swifts Funeral
Home, Hamilton. He was an uncle to Kenneth Jennigs and Ray and John Sanders.
