Venus Josephine Beerbower, daughter of Albert and Clara Beerbower, was born December 10, 1906.

Venus was a graduate of the Spencerville High School in the class of 1924.  While at home she took an active part in the Methodist Church, cheerfully working for her Master builder, building upon a foundation which can not be moved, Jesus Christ the sold rock.

November 6, 1928, Venus became the bride of Orvile Corbin.  The Rev. George Hubbard joining them in holy wedlock.  On August 8, 1931, Merrill Kay,  came to bless this home, with his child like smiles, only to languish his Motherís echoing smiles a short season.

On December 31, death knocked at the door, closing the lifeís book at twenty-five years.   She leaves to mourn her departure a husband, one son, father and mother, three sisters, three brothers, Ruth at home, Mrs. Mark Tyndall, Mrs. Anna Frysinger, Walter, Joseph, and Frank Beerbower.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the M. E. Church, conducted by Rev. Homer Studabaker, with burial in White City cemetery.

Obit: GARRETT, Ind., Jan. 25  -  Rosmond, wife of O. A. Brong died at her home on North Randolph street, Wednesday night after an illness of eight months of tubercular perotonitis.  She was 31 years of age.  The deceased is survived by a husband and one daughter.  The funeral was held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Church of Christ.  The Rev. O. E. Nauss officiated.  Interment in the Union Cemetery.
