10 JAN 1929

The Waterloo Press, Waterloo, Indiana

Willard Fee died at the Sanders hospital in Auburn Monday afternoon at 2:20 of pleurisy and pneumonia, resulting from an attack of the flu, following a relapse on Christmas day.  His condition became quite serious and his wife being ill also with the flu, both of them were taken to the hospital on Friday.

Mr. Fee was 76 years of age on July 14th last.  For a number of years Mr. Fee lived in Smithfield township, but the past several years he resided in Franklin township northeast of Waterloo.

Mr. Fee was twice married, his first wife being Emma Jane Kelley.  She died in 1901.  Mr. Fee was again married in 1907 to Electa Lowe.  To this first union six children were born, the oldest son, Cyrus, died in 1919 as a result of the flu which spread over the country at that time.  The other five children survive. They are John Fee of Minneapolis, Minn., and Herbert Fee of Waterloo, Mrs. Reba Nichols and Mrs. Hattie Giles of Auburn, and Mrs. Martha David of South Bend.  Two brothers, Judd Fee of Butler and Monte Fee of Indianapolis, with six grandchildren also survive.

The body was brought to the home of his son Herbert Fee in Waterloo, and the funeral will be held from the Waterloo U. B Church Friday afternoon pending the improvement of the widow of the deceased, who has been critically ill at the Auburn hospital.
