Obituary of   Edward E Koble

Garrett Clipper, Garrett, Indiana

Edward E. Koble, 77, a native of Leo but a 60 year resident of Garrett, died at the Garrett Community hospital Friday at 8:10 p.m.  He had been a patient at the hospital for 11 weeks with a severe heart condition. 

Mr. Koble was born Feb. 2, 1890, a son of the late Christopher and Catherine Koble.  He moved to Garrett 60 years ago to work as a B. & O. baggageman, a position he held until he retired in September of 1956. 

He and Ruby Suddick were married in Auburn on April 27, 1914, and they lived at 217 South Harrison street, Garrett. 

He was a member of the B. & O. Veterans, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, B. P. O. Elks and the Presbyterian church. 

Surviving in addition to the widow are a son, Harold of Port Lovaca, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. Cameron Moore of Raleigh, N. C.;  two sisters, Mrs. Tony Crisenti of Detroit and Mrs. Bertha Freeze of 121 North Lee street, Garrett;  three grandchildren and one great grandchild. 

Final rites will be conducted at the Baidinger-Walter funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Peter Soudah, pastor of the Garrett Presbyterian church, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Union cemetery, northwest of Garrett.  Elks twilight services were conducted at the funeral home Sunday at 8 p.m. 

A preferred from of memorials is a denotation to the Garrett Community hospital.
