Obituary of   L Freeman 'Free' Moore

Funeral services for L. Freeman (Free) Moore, 81, of 363 Ensley Avenue, Auburn, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dilgard & Cline funeral home in Auburn.   The Rev. Albert Clarke, pastor of the Methodist church in Auburn will officiate at the services and burial will follow in Roselawn cemetery, near Auburn.

Mr. Moore died unexpectedly at this home about 9:30 a.m. Sunday of a heart attack.  He had been ill for about a week and a half with an attack of influenza.

He was born in Hamilton on March 12, 1876, and had resided in Auburn for over 40 years.   Mr. Moore operated a machine shop at his home since he retired form the old Auburn Automobile Company over 30 years ago.  He was employed there as a machinist.

Mr. Moore was a veteran of the Spanish-American War.  He had resided alone since the death of this second wife a number of years also.

Survivors include a daughter by his first wife, Mrs. Richard Schimpf, of Butler, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  He was a member of the Masonic lodge of Auburn and the Masonic services will be held at the funeral home at 8 o’clock tonight.
