"Sleep, soldier, sleep! A well-earned rest
Is thine at close of day;
Thy duty done, thy task complete,
Thou couldst not longer stay;
The call to arms thou didst not fear,
The call to serve thy soul didst hear,
Thou hast been true, thou didst obey,
Sleep, soldier, sleep!"

Rev. Clarence R. Stout, Indianapolis, Indiana.
