Simon Darkwood Dead.
Simon Darkwood died at his home west of Milford. Funeral Sunday at the Whitehead church. [Goshen Daily Democrat May 19, 1916, pg. 5 Submitters Name: Karen K ]

MRS. MARY B. DAUGHERTY Mrs. Mary B. Daugherty. 84, 25 West Indiana street, widow of Henry C. Daugherty. Civil war veteran, died Friday night in St. Mary's hospital after a short Illness. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 o'clock Tuesday morning at the home and at 8 o'clock at Assumption Catholic church. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. The Women's Relief corps of Farragut post, G. A. R. will conduct services at 7:30 o'clock tomorrow night at the home. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Kunkel: a sister. Wakarusa Tribune: Grandma Dausman, living 4 1/2 miles south of town, was buried at South Union Tuesday afternoon. She has lived in the same neighborhood for years and everybody knew and loved Grandma Dausman. She was the stepmother of Senator Dausman of Goshen. DAUSMAN - Sarah H. Dausman, aged 74 years, died Sunday evening at her residence in Locke township. She leaves three sons and one daughter. [Goshen Democrat Aug. 8, 1903 Submitters Name: Karen K ]

WILLIAM M. DEWEESE Funeral services for William M. Deweese, 77, 325 Clark street, who died yesterday morning, will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning; at the Lowe and Son funeral chapel where the body is lying: in state. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Deweese is survived by his wife, Alice. [The Evansville Courier And Journal Sunday, December 35, 1935. ]

Elkhart, Ind--Nellie Belle Dizmang, 92, of 25949 County Road 6, Elkhart, passed away September 21, 1993, at the home of a son, Leo Brooks in Elkhart.  She had been in ill health for some time.  Employed by IXL, Goshen, Ind., she retired in 1958 after having worked there for a number of years. She was born April 22, 1901 in Lincoln, Kan.  She was married to Earl Brooks on Dec. 14, 1919 in Maynard, (AR).  He passed away June 19, 1931.  She then married Roy L. Dixmang on October 22, 1932 at Supply, (AR).  He passed away Oct. 19, 1963. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Troy (Daphne) Ashlock of Swartz Creek, Mich., and Nadine Miller of Elkhart; two sons, LeRoy Brooks of Bristol and Leo Brooks of Elkhart; 17 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Dean of Three Rivers, Mich., and Mary Cook of Goshen, Ind.; a brother, Willie Poff of Elkhart. A son, Earl Brooks, preceded her in death on March 24, 1993; a half-brother and two brothers also preceded her in death. Funeral was Sept. 24 at Osolo Missionary Church with Rev. Dale Turner, the pastor, officiating.  Burial was in Prairie Street Cemetery there under the direction of Westbrook-Metz-Clouse Funeral Home of Elkhart.  --[Pocahontas (AR) Star Herald, Sept. 30, 1993; submitted by Freda Roberts. ]
