Deaths at Mobile--Recent intelligence from Mobile announces the death there, of Mr. Charles Gordon, brother of H. C. Gordon of this office, and formerly of this city, after a long and painful illness. Mr. G. was well known here and his death will be lamented by many friends and relatives.  Also, the death of Thomas Riddle, son of the late Capt. Thomas Riddle of this city; and of Peter Mercer, son of our former fellow citizen, Robert A. Mercer.

Deaths in Hospital—The following soldiers have died in the hospitals of this city since March 28th:  March 28-Jos. Freeman, Co. C, 5th Tenn. Arpil 17,-Eugene Ebarts, Co. B, 92d Ill. April 24,- Anton Myer, Co. F, 36th Ill. April 22-Euigene Sullivan, a deck hand on the hospital steamer Woodford. The average number of sick in the hsopitals during the month of April is eight hundred. The very small number of deaths speaks highly for their excellent management.
