Humphreys Marriage License
Be it Remembered, That on the 11th day of August, A. D., 1846, a
Marriage License was granted by John Hasgoove?,
Clerk of the Gibson Circuit Court, in the words and figures following,
to-wit:
State of Indiana, Gibson County, ss.
The State of Indiana to any person legally empowered to solemnize
marriages in the County of Gibson Greetings:
You are hereby authorized to join in the holy bans of matrimony James
Sloan and Betsy Humphreys of the said County
of Gibson, according to the laws of the State of Indiana, and of this
make due return in ninety days.
Witness my hand and seal of office, at Princeton, the 11th day of
August A. D. 1846 John Hasgoove?,
Clerk G. C. D.
Be It Further Remembered, That on the 18th day of August 1846, the
following certificate was filed in the office
of the Clerk aoresaid:
State of Indiana, Gibson County, I certify that on the 12th day of
August 1846, James Sloan and Betsy Humphreys
