CURRENT, Elizabeth.     [nee: DEEN ]  
Elizabeth, wife of Garret Current. Born September 8, 1822.  Died April 5, 1899.
Note: Elizabeth, daughter of Jeremiah G. Deen and Katharine Lopp, married Garrent Current, on 12 September 1839, in Harrison County, Indiana. Elizabeth was born in Harrison County, Indiana. Elizabeth was the mother of thirteen  known children.

CURRENT, Ellen.
Ellen, daughter of G. & E. Current. Died March 28, 1861.  Age 1 month, 8 days.
Note: Ellen is the daughter of Garret Current and Elizabeth Deen. Garret and Elizabeth were married on 12 Sept 1839, in Harrison County, Indiana.

CURRENT, Garret.          
Civil War Veteran
Garret Current. Born July 24, 1817. Died February 18, 1880.
Note: Garret Current, son of Samuel Current and Mary Applegate, was born in Harrison County, Indiana. He is also the grandson of Garret Wall Applegate and Mary Johnson. Garret Current married Elizabeth Deen, daughter of Jeremiah G. Deen and Katharine Lopp, on 12 September 1839, in Harrison County, Indiana. Garret Current was a member of the Mauckport Rifles Company of the 6th Regiment of the Indiana Legion (Harrison Co. Home Guard). Garret’s name  appears on the Rolls dated 23 September 1861 and 17 October 1862. Garret and Elizabeth lived in Heth Township until after the Civil War. By the census of 1870, Garret moved the family across the river to Ashcroft, in Meade County (KY), then later to Caseville.  Garret died at their home in Caseville of Meade County, Kentucky (not far from Brandenburg). His body was brought back to Heth Township for burial― likely because some of their children and other family were buried at the old Mt. Zion cemetery. Garret’s grandfather, Garret Wall Applegate, served as a Sergeant in the 8th Pennsylvania Militia during the Revolutionary War. Garret Applegate is buried at the Pitman Cemetery, west of Central, Harrison County, IN..

Note: This infant is the daughter of Garret Current and Elizabeth Deen. Garret and Elizabeth were married on 12 Sept 1839, in Harrison County, Indiana.

CURRENT, Isaiah.
Isiah Current, son of Garret & Elizabeth Current. Died April 20, 1855.   Age 10 years, 2 months.
Note: Isaiah is the son of Garret Current and Elizabeth Deen. Garret and Elizabeth were married on 12 Sept 1839, in Harrison County, Indiana.

CURRENT, James H.  
Civil War Veteran

Lieutenant James H. Current. Born June 7, 1841.  Died July 9, 1863.
Note: James H. Current, son of Garret Current and Elizabeth Deen, was born in Heth Township of Harrison County, Indiana.  James married Mary C. Byers, daughter of Michael Dent Byers and Susan Miller on 31 July 1862, in Harrison County, Indiana. 2nd Lt. James H. Current was an officer in the Mauckport Rifle Company of the Harrison County Home Guard. As Morgan’s Raiders were crossing the Ohio River to Morvin’s Landing the evening of July 8, 1863 (the day before the Battle of Corydon), 2nd Lt. James H. Current was one of the cannon servers firing on Morgan’s men at Brandenburg, KY. He and George Nance of the Laconia Guards Company, took a direct hit from one of the confederate’s cannons. George Nance was killed instantly. As the site was being evacuated, James was taken a few miles up the road and treated by Dr. Henry K. Deen. James Current died shortly after midnight from his wounds on 9 July 1863. The cannon they had been serving had been placed on top of a high ridge above Morvin’s Landing and was being fired towards Brandenburg, KY.  His widow later married Benjamin F. Richards on 12 July 1866 in Harrison County.

DEEN, Dennis P.            
Civil War Veteran
Dennis P., son of J.G. & C. Deen. Born October 26, 1841.  Died August 11, 1863.
Note: Dennis is a son of Jeremiah G. Deen and Katherine Lopp. Dennis P. Deen married Nancy Watson on 28 Feb 1861 in Harrison County, IN.. Dennis was a member of the Mauckport Rifles Company of the 6th Regiment of the Indiana Legion (Harrison County Home Guard). His name is recorded on the Roll dated 17 October 1862. It is reported that Dennis died from small pox while returning from Louisville. Once the boat arrived at Mauckport, his body was immediately taken to the cemetery that night and buried by family members. He is buried in Lopp’s row at the cemetery.

Note: John’s father was Jeremiah G. Deen of Maryland. Jeremiah married Katherine Lopp on 7 March 1819, in Harrison County, Indiana.

DEEN, Jeremiah G.           
Jeremiah G. Deen. Born  April 14, 1795. Died December 29, 1868 at 5 o’clock A.M.
Note: Jeremiah G. Deen married Katherine Lopp, daughter of John Lopp and Anna Catherine Hamm, on 13 March 1819, in Harrison County, Indiana. Jeremiah, an only child, was born near Baltimore, Maryland. He lost his left arm as a child in a cane mill on his father’s farm. After the death of his father, his mother remarried. Jeremiah disliking his step-father left home for Indiana and traveled most of the way by boat down the Ohio River and arrived at Mauckport.  After his arrival, the Rev. John Lopp provided Jeremiah space in his home until he found his own place. After his marriage, Jeremiah taught school in a house built near his home just below the town of Central. His land at that time was all in forest. Jeremiah also liked to hunt and frequently invited his neighbors to join him. Having only one arm, he was noted to hunt with a Colt revolver and it has been said he was very accurate. On one occasion his hunting party chased a bear into a large cave close to his house. Very carefully, Jeremiah went into the cave and managed to kill the bear. Several years after the death of his wife, Katharine Lopp, Jeremiah G. Deen married Elizabeth Bruce on 23 April 1868, in Harrison County.

Note: Francis is the wife of Rev. Zephania K. Boone Eledge.

Rev. Z.B. Eledge. Born Feb. 22, 1818.  
Note: On 8 June 1880, Rev. Zephania K. Boone Eledge was residing with the family of Mr. & Mrs. William and Sarah Jacobs, in Heth Township, at the time when they were recorded in the census. At that time, Zephania was recorded as been born in Indiana and his parents in North Carolina. Zephania Eledge may be related to Leonard Boone Elledge (b. 25 Dec. 1783) and his wife Rebecca Beall (both from Boone’s Fort, Clark Co., KY), since they were known to have lived in Boone Township of Harrison County between 1815 and 1827. Leonard’s parents (Francis Elledge and Charity Boone) were both born in Rowan County, North Carolina.

Catharine, wife of H.P. Faith. Born March 25, 1800. Died July 8, 1864.
Note: Catharine McKenny married Henry Pike Faith, on 21 Aug 1825, in Harrison County, Indiana.

Note: Catharine may be the daughter of Thomas Faith and Matilda Ann Strange, who were married on 7 June 1827, in Harrison County, Indiana.

FAITH,  Henry Pike.           
Henry P. Faith. Born August 22, 1802. Died May 5, 1864. Age 61 years, 8 months, 13 days.
Note: Henry Pike Faith, son of Henry Faith and Elizabeth Pike, married Catharine McKinny on 21 Aug 1825,  in Harrison County, Indiana. Henry Pike Faith died from typhoid fever. Thomas Faith, grandfather of Henry P. Faith, immigrated to Redstone (now Bedford Co.), Pennsylvania from Ireland.

Note: This child is the son of Henry P. Faith and Catharine McKinny. They were married on 21 August 1825, in Harrison County, Indiana.

FAITH, Jacob.  
Jacob Faith. Born July 22, 1810. Died November 6, 1894.
Note:  Jacob Faith, son of Henry Faith and Elizabeth Pike, was born in Kentucky.  Henry Faith was born either  29 February 1772 or 28 February 1773, in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth Pike was born  in 1775 in Nelson County, Kentucky. Henry and Elizabeth were married on 2 October 1798 in Nelson County, Kentucky. By 1830 they were living in Harrison County, Indiana. On 21 December 1833, Jacob Faith and Ruth Ann Brandenburg were married in Harrison County, Indiana. They lived their entire married lives in Heth Township.

Note:  John C. Faith is the son of Thomas Faith and Catharine Byerly. Thomas and Catharine were married on 1 December 1870, in Harrison County, Indiana.

FAITH,  Mary.
Mary, daughter of John B. & Mary Faith. Died July 8, 1851. Age 1 year, 6 months, 18 days.
Note: Sallie is the daughter of John B. Faith and Mary Boley both born in Kentucky. John and Mary were married on 3 Dec 1846, in Harrison County, Indiana. In 1850, John, Mary and their daughter Mary were living in Harrison County adjacent to Henry and Mary Faith from Pennsylvania.

FAITH, Ruth Ann.   [nee: BRANDENBURG ]
Ruth Ann Faith. Born March 1, 1814. Died June 8, 1890.
Note:  Ruth Ann Brandenburg, daughter of Jonathan Brandenburg and Amy Ann Jenkins, married Jacob Faith on 21 December 1833, in Harrison County, Indiana. Ruth Ann is the mother of at least eleven known children. Ruth Ann is also the granddaughter of Mathias Brandenburg (born abt. 1738, Berlin, Brandenburg, Germany) and Hester “Ester” Wohlgemuth / Wolgamott (born abt.1744, Maryland.). Ruth Ann is also the younger sister of David Brandenburg who married Laura Jane Beard.

Note: William is the son of Harmon Faith and Mary Ann Richard. Harmon and Mary were married on 2 November 1854, in Harrison County, Indiana.

FECHYEW,  Charles Jesse.                
Charles Jesse, son of H. & S.E. Fechyew. Born June 11, 1861.   Died Sept. 5, 1862.
Note: Charles Jesse Fechyew is the son of Henry Fechyew. Hery was a member of the “Mauckport Riflers” of the 6th Regiment of the Indiana Legion (Harrison County Home Guard). Henry’s name appears on the Roll dated 17 October 1862.

Note: Charles married Isabel Smith, daughter of Richard Smith and Nancy Agnes Black, on 16 Oct 1824, Harrison County, Indiana.

Note: This infant is a child of Charles R. Felts and Barbara E. Lopp. Charles and Barbara were married on 4 February 1856, in Harrison County, Indiana. This family lived in Washington Township for a number of years.

Note: Isabel Smith, daughter of Richard Smith and Nancy Agnes Black, married Charles Felts [Feltz], on 16 Oct 1824, Harrison County, Indiana. Isabel was a twin sister to Rachel.

Note: Jane’s parents are Isabel Smith, daughter of Richard Smith and Nancy Agnes Black, and Charles Felts [Feltz]. They were married on 16 Oct 1824, Harrison County, Indiana.

Note:  Charles is the son of William Frakes and Mary Fowler. William and Mary were married on 8 October 1863, in Harrison County, Indiana.

FRAKES, Daniel Emanuel.   
Daniel E. Frakes. Born 1873. Died 1902.
Note: Daniel, son of George Frakes and Anna Catherine Lopp, was born on 1 September of 1873, in Heth Township of Harrison County, Indiana. Daniel worked as a farm laborer on his father’s farm in Heth Township.  Daniel drowned in the Ohio River as a result of the Brandenburg Ferry accident. Daniel’s parents were married on 18 November 1865, in Harrison County, Indiana.

Elizabeth, wife of John Frakes. Died December 13, 1847. Age 87 years, 2 months. Was a mother of 14 children.
Note: Elizabeth Timberlake was born on or about 13 October 1760. She is the wife of Revolutionary War Veteran, John Frakes.

Gustavus A., son of W.A. & M.M. Frakes. Died June 2, 1867. Age 11 years, 2 months, 20 days.
Note: Gustavus is the son of William Frakes and Mary Fowler. William and Mary were married on 8 Oct 1848 in Harrison County, Indiana.

FRAKES,  John.       
Revolutionary War Veteran
Sacred to the memory of John Frakes. Born 1750. Died October 4, 1846. Age 96 years. Left a wife and 14 children.
Note: John Frakes married Elizabeth Timberlake.  About six months before his death, John wrote a letter to Judge Porter in Corydon asking his assistance in securing a pension for services in the Revolutionary War and promised him half of what he could obtain for his services. Unfortunately, John died before Porter could do anything about the pension. In his letter to Porter, John claimed the following service: 1780-seven weeks under Jereinelius Briscoe; 1782-nine weeks und Charles Polk, Chief Commander was Gen. Clark. His last service was under Capt. Davis, building a fort at Beargrass Creek where Louisville now stands. He said his records could be found at Bardstown, KY. According to Walter Beanblossom, this letter is now in the hands of Mr. Frederick P. Griffin, a grandson of Judge Porter,-

FOWLER. Charlotte.   [nee:  FRANK? ]               
Charlotte, wife of John W. Fowler. Born May 9, 1843. Died March 4, 1872.
Note: Charlotte was born in Harrison County, Indiana. Charlotte married John W. Fowler sometime around 1866. In the census of 1870 (14 June), they were living in Heth Township and had two children: Annie E., age 4 and Sarah M., age 2. After Charlotte’s death, John W. Fowler married  Eliza Newble.  Charlotte may be the daughter of David Frank and Elizabeth Hardsaw who both died in the early 1850s. Charlotte was living with her grandparents, John Frank and Mary Barbara Lopp, when the census of 1860 was recorded for Heth Township of Harrison County, Indiana.

Eliza, wife of J.W. Fowler. Born August 12, 1845. Died Aug 16, 1888.
Note: John W. Fowler married Eliza Newble, 22 Aug 1872, Harrison Co., IN. Eliza was born in Kentucky. They were living in Heth Township at the time of her death.

FOWLER. John, W.             
Civil War Veteran
John W. Fowler. Co. B. 53 Ind. Inft.
Note: John was born in June 1842, in Indiana, as was his mother, but his father was born in Kentucky. John first married Charlotte___________. Charlotte died on 4 March 1872 in Harrison County.  John married Eliza Newble, 22 Aug 1872, Harrison Co., IN. He may have been married prior to 1872. On 20 February 1862, John enlisted as Private  in the Union Army and was assigned to Company B of the Indiana 53rd Infantry Regiment. The regiment left for Louisville, Kentucky on March 15 that year and then on to Savannah, Tennessee. The regiment remained in Savannah until April 15 1862, and then moved to Corinth where it was engaged in the siege. Following Corinth, the regiment moved to Lagrange where they made many expeditions in various directions and encountered many small skirmishes. John W. Fowler was wounded in battle and discharged due to his wounds on 11 May 1862. After the death of his wife in 1888, John W. Fowler married his third wife, Almirah Binkley Glenn, on 3 November 1889, in Harrison County. Almirah was previously married to William J. Glenn, son of Rev. Peter Glenn and Catharine Detrick. On 13 June 1900, John was residing in Harrison Township with his wife Almirah. John and Almirah had six children during their marriage .Almirah died in 1916 and is buried with her first husband at Jordan’s cemetery in Harrison Township.

Sarah M., daughter of J. W. & C. Fowler. Died August 2, 1872. Age 4 yrs, 3 mos, 22 days.
Note: Sarah is the daughter of John W. and Charlotte Fowler

FRANK, Maria.   [nee: FAITH ]
Maria, wife of Wm. Frank. Born April 6, 1833. Died July 4, 1880.
Note: Mariah Faith, daughter of Henry Pike Faith and Catherine McKinney, was born in Harrison County, Indiana. She is the granddaughter of Henry Faith (born either 29 February 1772 or 28 February 1773, in Bedford County, Pennsylvania) and Elizabeth Pike (born in 1775 in Nelson County, Kentucky). Henry and Elizabeth were married on 2 October 1798 in Nelson County, Kentucky.  On 4 June 1860, when Maria Faith was 26 years of age, she was working as a servant and residing with the family of George McCarty and his wife Rebecca, in Heth Township. On 23 April 1874, Mariah Faith married William Frank, son of Sarah Frank, in Harrison County.  William and Mariah Frank didn’t have any children.

FRANK, Sarah.   
Sarah Frank.  Born April 21, 1797. Died September 9, 1887. Aged 90 years, 4 months and 8 days.
Note: Sarah Frank is the daughter of John Frank Sr. and Mary Barbary Lopp. Sarah was born near Lexington, in Rowan County (now Davidson Co.), North Carolina. In 1807, Sarah moved to the Indiana Territory and settled on Haunted Hollow, near the Ohio River in Heth Township. Sarah Frank never married although she had one son, William Frank, who is buried next to her. Amos Wright lived with Sarah and her son William for over ten years in Heth Township. Sarah’s inscribed age at death doesn’t calculate correctly when using her inscribed birth date and date of death.

Wm. Frank. Born April 30, 1830. Died October 22, 1882.
Note: William Frank is the son of Sarah Frank (the father is unknown). William was born in Heth Township of Harrison County, Indiana. On 23 April 1874, William married Mariah Faith, daughter of Henry Pike Faith and Catherine McKinney, in Harrison County.

FUNKHOUSER,  Daniel.
Daniel, son of D. & M. Funkhouser. Died May 23, 1873. Age 12 years, 8 months, 12 days.
Note: Daniel is the son of David Funkhouser and Malinda Wiseman. David and Malinda were married on 21 January 1847, in Harrison County, Indiana. Daniel is the grandson of Moses Funkhouser and Susanna Lopp.

Here lies the body of Terrace Ann Gates. She was born June, the 11th day, in the year of our Lord 1826 and departed this life January 3, 1830.

Wm., son of P. & C. Gates. Died January 4, 1861. Age 9 years, 9 days.
Note: William is the son of Philip Gates (Gets) and Christena (Christianna) Wiseman. They were married 4 October 1849, in Harrison County, Indiana. Philip was born in Virginia.

Note: Lee is the son of James George and Elizabeth Hoffman. James and Elizabeth were married on 7 April 1879, in Harrison County, Indiana. On 30 June 1880, James and Elizabeth [Hoffman] George were living with her widow mother, Eliza J. Hoffman, in Mauckport of Heth Township.

GILMORE, James A.  
Civil War Veteran

Born May 6, 1842.  Died June 14, 1914.
Note: James Gilmore was born in Crawford County, Indiana.  On 2 July 1865, James A. Gilmore married Elizabeth Lopp, daughter of Andrew Lopp and Elizabeth [Stonecipher] Alburn. James served as a Private during the Civil War in Company A (a militia company) of the Green River Battalion. He mustered in Cloverport Kentucky on 3 Feb 1865 and mustered out at the same location on 23 Aug 1865.  After the death of his wife Elizabeth Lopp, James married a cousin, Elizabeth Kesner,daughter of Ephraim Kesner and Susan Flock. In 1888, James Gilmore was given a license to preach in the United Brethren Church.  James and his second wife divorced and she moved to China, Texas. James built a house in the west end of New Albany, near the river, where he died.

GILMORE, Elizabeth.   [nee: LOPP ]

Note: Elizabeth is the daughter of Andrew Lopp and Elizabeth [Stonecipher] Alburn.  On 2 July 1865,
Elizabeth Lopp married James Gilmore. In 1870 they were living in Harrison Township. James served as a Private during the Civil War in Company A (a militia company) of the Green River Battalion. He mustered in Cloverport Kentucky on 3 Feb 1865 and mustered out at the same location on 23 Aug 1865.

GILMORE, George W.   
George W., son of J. & E. Gilmore. Died October 11, 1867. Age 1 year, 3 months.
Note: George W.  is the son of James Gilmore and his first wife Elizabeth Lopp. George is buried alongside two other grandchildren of Andrew Lopp, not beside his parents.

GRAY,  William.                  
Wm., son of T. & S. Gray. Born July 24 1824. Died October 21, 1845.
Note: Likely the first child of Thomas Ellis Gray and Sarah Frakes. Thomas and Sarah were married either on the 9 or 10 of June 1823, in Harrison County, Indiana.

HARDIN, Francis M.    
Civil War Veteran

Sergt. Francis M. Hardin. Co. B., 53rd Ind. Inf.
Note:  Francis was born in February 1843, in Harrison County, Indiana.  Frances M. Hardin is believed to be the son of James Hardin and Nancy Pringle. After his father’s death, Nancy married Henry Bruce (see listing under Nancy [Pringle] BRUCE). In 1850, Nancy Hardin (age 23), including Francis M. Hardin (age 7) and Priscilla Hardin (age 4) were living with Jacob and Priscilla [Pringle] Davis in Harrison County. On 8 June 1860, Francis M. Hardin was living with Henry and Nancy Bruce, along with Francis’s sister and younger brother.  On 4 December 1860, Francis M. Hardin married Hester Faith, daughter of Jacob Faith and Ruth Ann Brandenburg, in Harrison County, Indiana.  On 20 February 1862, Francis enlisted as a Private in the Union Army. He was assigned to Company B of the 53rd Indiana Infantry Regiment. At that time Francis was a resident of Mauckport. During his tenure, the 53rd Infantry Regiment fought the following battles: 5 Oct 1862, Hatchie Bridge, TN; 17 June 1864, Big Shanty, GA; 27 June 1864, Kenesaw Mountain, GA; 20-22 July and 9 & 13 August, 1864, Atlanta, GA; plus many other smaller battles and skirmishes. Francis was promoted to Sergeant and mustered out on 21 July 1865, in Louisville, Kentucky. Frances and Hester lived and raised their family in Heth Township. Francis M. Hardin was recorded in his last census, living as a widower at age 67, in Heth Township, on 15 April 1910. He died sometime before the 1920 census.

Note:  Hester is the daughter of Jacob Faith and Ruth Ann Brandenburg. On 4 December 1860, Hester married Francis M. Faith, in Harrison County, Indiana. Hester is a mother of ten children

HAYS, Salley.  
Salley, daughter of W.G. & E. Hays. Died October 18, 1865. Age 1 year, 7 months, 9 days.
Note: Salley is the daughter of William G. Hays and Elizabeth Current. William and Elizabeth were married 9 Nov 1854, in Harrison County, Indiana. William Hays is the son of Mariah Faith and James Hays.

HOFFMAN,  Elizabeth.    [nee: NIGHEGER]
Elizabeth, wife of John Hoffman. Born October 23, 1796. Died January 26, 1849.
Note:  Elizabeth Nigheger, was born in Kentucky. She married John Huffman on 5 March 1818 in Harrison County, Indiana. The surname of this family is also found in records as “Hoffman.”

HOFFMAN, Eliza J.   [nee: BEANBLOSSOM ]
Eliza J. Hoffman. Born June 26, 1830. Died May 27, 1901.
Note: Eliza Jane Beanblossom, daughter of Philip Beanblossom and Frances Love, married Philip C. Hoffman on 25 February 1851 in Harrison County, IN. Eliza was born in Harrison County. Her parents and many of her siblings are also buried at this cemetery. Philip Hoffman died sometime prior to 17 June 1870 in Heth Twp.

The surname of this family is also recorded as “Huffman.”

Note:  John Hoffman was born in North Carolina. John Hoffman, also found in records as Huffman, married Elizabeth Nigheger, on 5 March 1818 in Harrison County, Indiana.

Mary I., daughter of H. H. & M. J. Hoffman. Born November 7, 1855. Died February 8, 1856.
Note: Mary is the daughter of Harvey H. Huffman and Martha J. Gilham. Harvey and Martha were married on 30 January 1845, in Harrison County, Indiana.

HUFFMAN, Eliza.   [nee: FRANK ]
Eliza Huffman.  Born April 23, 1826.
Note: Eliza Jane Frank married Nicholas Commodore Perry Hoffman (Huffman), on 7 September 1848, in Harrison County, Indiana. By the time of the 1850 census, they were living without children, in Warren Township of Marion County, Missouri. Also living with them was Christena Frank, age 10 (who would later marry George Best in Harrison County in 1858) and John Huffman and 20― all from Indiana. By 1858, Nicholas and Eliza had  returned to Heth Township of Harrison County, Indiana. Eliza is the daughter of George Frank and Catharine Hardsaw, both buried at Beechwood Cem.    

HUFFMAN, Harvey H.

Harvey Huffman. Died February 2, 1887. Age 64 years, 6 months, 22 days.
Note:  Harvey H. Huffman was born on 11 July 1822, in Harrison County. Harvey first married Martha J. Gilham on 30 January 1845, in Harrison County, Indiana. Harvey and Martha were living in Heth Township when the 1850 census was recorded. Harvey served as Captain of the “Heth Rifles Company” of the 6th Regiment of the Indiana Legion (Harrison County Home Guard). His name is recorded on the Muster Roll dated 11 May 1861. Martha died sometime after the birth of Harvey J.Huffman (1863). During their marriage they had at least eight children. On 26 November 1868, Harvey H. Huffman married Louisa Faith, daughter of Abraham Faith and Ester Baird, in Harrison County, Indiana. In the census of 1870, Harvey was listed as age 47 and Louisa age 25. Their first son Ulisses C, was born in February of 1870, while they were living in Heth Township. Their last child, Myrtle, was born Oct 1885. In June 1900, Louisa was a widow living with her children in Posey Township. Louisa remained in Posey Township and died after 1920, but before 1920. During her years of marriage with Harvey, she had nine children.

Infant daughter of H. H. & M. J. Huffman. Died August 21, 1867. Age 11 days.
Note: This infant is the daughter of Harvey H. Huffman and Martha J. Gilham. Henry and Martha were married on 30 January 1845, in Harrison County, Indiana.

HUFFMAN, Lulu G.
Lulu G., daughter of L.C. & N.F. Huffman. Born October 17, 1878.  Died August 1879.
Note: Lulu is the daughter of Levi C. Huffman and Nancy F. Kishline. Levi and Nancy were married on 4 August 1874, in Harrison County, Indiana. Levi is the son of Harvey H. Huffman and Martha J. Gilman. Nancy is the daughter of Solomon Kishline and Elizabeth Neely.

Note: Martha  is the daughter of Harvey H. Huffman and his first wife, Martha J. Gilham. Henry and Martha were married on 30 January 1845, in Harrison County, Indiana.

Note:  No information could be located on Mary Huston. A similar surname is found in 1850 Harrison County records as Heston.

Andrew Jacobs. Died March 11, 1859. Age 31 years, 1 month, 18 days.
Note: Andrew, son of John P. Jacobs  and Sarah McMonigle, married Cyntha Ann McMonigle on 3 February 1850, in Harrison County, Indiana. It is said they were first cousins. Andrew was a cooper by trade. When he died he left widow Cyntha with four young children. Andrew was born in Harrison County, Indiana. His parents were from Pennsylvania (his father from Jamesport, PA.)

Charles was a member of the “Heth Rifles Company” of the 6th Regiment of the Indiana Legion (Harrison County Home Guard). His name is recorded on the Roll dated 11 May 1861.

Harrison Jacobs. Born February 26, 1840. Died September 22, 1862.
Note: Harrison is the son of Nelson Jacobs and Elizabeth Wiseman. They were married on 30 May 1835, in Harrison County, Indiana. Harrison is the brother to David Jacobs who married Nancy Ann Lovelace.

Hester, wife of Joseph D. Jacobs. Born January 1809. Died December 9, 1876.
Note: Hester __________ was born in Pennsylvania as was her husband Joseph. In 1850, Hester is listed as the wife of Joseph Jacobs, age 50 of Pennsylvania. At that time, they were living in District 45 of Harrison County and had six children.  On 13 June 1860, Joseph and Hester were residing adjacent to the family of Jeremiah G. Deen in Heth Township. On 8 June 1880, Joseph, age 80, widower, was recorded in the census residing with the family of their son, William J. Jacobs, in Heth Township of Harrison County.Hester’s in-laws were both born in Maryland.

Note: Lafayette is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Hester Jacobs of Pennsylvania. Lafayette was born in September 1841, in Harrison County, Indiana. On 18 October 1866, Lafayette married Nancy A. Beard, in Harrison County, Indiana. In 1880, Lafayette was working as a laborer and they were raising their children in Mauckport. By 1900, Lafayette was working as a mail carrier and residing with his family in the town of Corydon.   Nancy A. Beard, daughter of Matthew Beard and Elizabeth Frakes,  born in April 1842 in either in Crawford or Harrison County, Indiana. Nancy died after 19 June 1900―on that date the family was recorded in the census residing in the town of Corydon. Nancy is the mother of eight children. Her parents, Matthew Beard and Elizabeth Frakes, were married on 5 June 1838, in Crawford County, Indiana.

Note: Sarah is the daughter of David Jacobs and Nancy Ann Lovelace. David and Nancy were married on 3 August 1865, in Harrison County, Indiana. David’s parents were Nelson Jacobs and Elizabeth Wiseman. They were married on 30 May 1835, in Harrison County, Indiana.

Note: Isabella Current is the wife of William Jones. William and Isabella were married 15 Dec 1859, in Harrison County, Indiana. Isabella is the daughter of Samuel Current of Pennsylvania and Mary Applegate of Elizabeth, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.

Rosannah, wife of W. Jones. Born December 1781. Died August 4, 1828.
Note: Rosannah, daughter of Philip Shuck and Sarah Ann Schooling, was born in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. She married William Jones on 20 June 1808, Washington County, Kentucky. Rosannah’s father was born on 1 June 1760, in Windsor of Berks Co., PA, and her mother on 9 Nov 1760, in Berks Co., PA.

William Jones. Born May 2, 1790. Age 68 years.
Note: William was buried on 24 March 1851. In 1821, Philip Shuck, Sr., Williams father-in-law, advanced William Jones $17.01. Philip Shuck, Sr. stated in his will (dated in 1835), to William Jones one half share which totaled $33.81. After the advancement of $17.01 was subtracted from his half share, the estate of William Jones, now deceased, was paid the balance of $16.80. Note the following: “March 24, 1851. Benjamin Stephenson, the administrator of the estate of William Jones, "Received March 24th 1851 of Abraham Beanblossom surviving executor of the last will and testament of Philip Shuck dec'd the sum of sixteen dollars and eighty cents it being the balance coming to William Jones now dec'd by the will of Philip Shuck, dec'd. S. Benjamin Stephen son, one of the administrators of William Jones, dec'd.”
